For Rita, Protecting Medicare Advantage is Important
JANUARY 09, 2017
Rita Reynolds has been a lifelong resident of New York State’s Capital Region. For the last ten years, she has been relying on her Medicare Advantage plan to ensure she is living her healthiest, happiest life. After retiring from her job with a large manufacturing company, it was important to Rita that she could keep the doctors that she entrusted with her health for years.
“When I turned 65 and retired ten years ago, I was concerned I would lose coverage of the doctors that cared for me for years,” Rita told the CMC. “Like most people, I grew to trust and build a relationship with these individuals and it is difficult to regain that trust with a new doctor.”
The different plan options available through Medicare Advantage allowed Rita to choose the plan that was best for her, and that allowed her to keep all her doctors. Rita says that with her Medicare Advantage plan, health care is easily accessible and affordable.
“Fortunately, the different options afforded to me through Medicare Advantage allowed me to find a plan that was affordable, accessible and let me keep all my doctors, especially as I see myself growing older.”
