Rep. Doug Collins Talks Medicare Advantage in Georgia
APRIL 19, 2017
CMC seniors caught up with Rep. Doug Collins (R, GA-9) in Gainesville, GA to talk about the importance of protecting Medicare Advantage (MA). CMC seniors shared with Collins what they loved the most about their MA plan, including the limits on out-of-pocket expenses and the ability to choose a health plan that best fits them.
“Medicare Advantage has made an enormous impact on our finances,” CMC senior Frank Lock, who was with his wife Mary Lou, told Collins. “We save a significant amount of money. My Medicare Advantage company has been terrific.” Seth Vinning, another CMC senior at the meeting told attendees, “as a retired teacher, I researched many of my options and truly believe Medicare Advantage is the best option.”
Collins shared that he is quite familiar with MA, because his parents currently use it.
“Medicare Advantage is a great option and I am always looking for ways to make it better. I believe Medicare Advantage is in a great position with the new HHS secretary, Tom Price, and the new CMS director,” Collins noted. “In the last 7 years, Medicare Advantage has been at risk for cuts due to other healthcare initiatives, I believe that is changing. I appreciate you taking the time to come in and spend some time to discuss Medicare Advantage with you. This helps me better represent you.”
Thanks to all who attended!
