Seniors and Members of Congress Stand Together for Medicare Advantage
MARCH 14, 2018
American seniors and members of Congress are determined to protect Medicare Advantage as the federal government continues to explore changes to the program, which now serves more than 20 million seniors.
The Coalition of Medicare Choices (CMC), the preeminent Medicare Advantage advocacy organization, continues to work with its 2 million members to prevent negative changes to Medicare Advantage. The CMC completed 47 roundtable meetings and 84 in-district engagements with members of Congress and their staff, which provided seniors the opportunity to share with members of Congress the importance of Medicare Advantage.
Members of Congress working with seniors include:
Kathy Kiernan meets U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan to share the importance of protecting Medicare Advantage
Billy Shehorn meets Congresswoman Marcia Fudge to share his appreciation for her support to protect Medicare Advantage.
More than 16,800 seniors have participated in our 2018 advocacy campaign and sent more than 71,000 letters and social media posts to engage members of Congress. While seniors and members of Congress made significant progress, there is still work to do. Be sure to contact your member of Congress today to show your support for Medicare Advantage.
