Americans for Medicare Advantage met with Representative Hakeem Jeffries’ staff

New York Coalition members met with the office of Rep. Hakeem Jeffries to discuss the importance of the Medicare Advantage program back in February.

New York Coalition members met with the office of Rep. Hakeem Jeffries to discuss the importance of the Medicare Advantage program back in February. They specifically mentioned the prescription drug coverage they receive through their plans that allow them to treat their health conditions and stay healthy.

Beyond prescription drug coverage, Coalition members touched on a number of other benefits included with their Medicare Advantage plans at no extra cost – particularly preventive care. June, a local Coalition member, noted how she recently received a mammogram that was covered by her plan. Another local Coalition member, Lillie, discussed how she has been able to access physical therapy and rehabilitation services following a recent procedure. All attending Coalition members agreed that the Medicare Advantage program offers better services, better access to care, and better value.

The Coalition for Medicare Choices is thankful to have such passionate members advocating on behalf of the Medicare Advantage program. We are also grateful to Rep. Jeffries and his team for taking the time to meet with our Coalition members to hear more about Medicare Advantage.
