Washington, D.C. – Today, AHIP’s Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) released a new ad featuring six of its members discussing why they are single-issue “Medicare Advantage voters.” The new ad is a part of the CMC’s unprecedented, coast-to-coast grassroots mobilization and ad campaign to protect Medicare Advantage seniors from changes that could impact their coverage.

As the Medicare agency prepares to release preliminary Medicare Advantage payment rates, CMC members across the country are sending a clear message that they are paying attention to policy decisions that impact their coverage–and they vote. “We need Medicare Advantage. It changes lives,” says CMC senior Pam Gugle in the new ad. “It’d be really shortsighted if they ever cut funding for Medicare Advantage.” Watch the new ad below:

As a part of the grassroots campaign, thousands of CMC seniors have already taken action to urge their members of Congress to stand up for Medicare Advantage seniors. After only two weeks, CMC seniors have contacted members of Congress in all 50 states with hundreds of phone calls, nearly 10,000 emails, hundreds of posts on lawmakers’ Facebook pages, and written letters to Capitol Hill.
