Earlier this week, the Tennessee members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices hosted the Representative Phil Roe’s District Director at Kingsport.

Earlier this week, the Tennessee members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices hosted the Representative Phil Roe’s District Director at a local YMCA facility in Kingsport. The event featured a viewing of a Silver & Fit exercise class – a benefit available at no additional cost to Americans 65+ on Medicare Advantage – followed by a tour of the gym’s programming and facilities. The congressman’s staff received an overview of the many wellness-focused benefits that seniors receive through their Medicare Advantage coverage.

Coalition members and Rep. Roe’s staff then sat for a roundtable discussion, where our members shared what they love about the better services, better access to care, and better value they receive from their Medicare Advantage plans. Lydia, a local Coalition member, discussed how her Medicare Advantage plan helps manage her diabetes by giving her the tools she needs to stay healthy. Jackie, another Coalition member, was especially grateful for the “pickleball” games she can play with her friends thanks to her free gym membership through Medicare Advantage.

Rep. Roe’s district has the highest concentration of eligible seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage out of any congressional district in the state of Tennessee, and the Congressman recognizes the need to continue protecting the program. The Coalition for Medicare Choices thanks Rep. Roe and his staff for their continued support of Medicare Advantage.
