Coalition Members Meet Virtually with the Office of Representative Reschenthaler

Three members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) recently met with the office of Representative Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA-14) to share stories on how Medicare Advantage delivers better services, better access to care, and better value to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Coalition member Lois works at an education program for seniors, and many of the individuals she works with frequently share how happy they are with Medicare Advantage. She added that the limit on out-of-pocket costs is very convenient for seniors, as are the dental, vision, and hearing benefits and gym programs. Being able to review plans annually helps seniors get the care they need most, she added.

Rep. Reschenthaler’s staff member asked about the process of switching to Medicare Advantage. Lois indicated that it was an incredibly easy process.

Joe, another Coalition member, has been on Medicare Advantage for five years. He said Medicare Advantage plans are great and loves the included vision and dental coverage. Joe said he appreciated being able to review the services and doctors he could access prior to enrolling in a plan.

Coalition member Matt said all the benefits included in the program are important to seniors. Low-income individuals can switch plans every quarter, he added, which is helpful for these individuals. Matt said Medicare Advantage plans have continually improved over the years, increasing the value of the program.

Rep. Reschenthaler’s staff member thanked the group and said, “the Congressman is a big fan of MA.”

The CMC is grateful to the office of Representative Reschenthaler for meeting with our Coalition members and for his continued support of Medicare Advantage.
