Coalition Members Tell Rep. Ami Bera: Medicare Advantage Keeps Me Happy and Healthy!

This week, our Coalition members in California had the chance to meet with their member of Congress, U.S. Rep. Ami Bera, at his district office in Sacramento. Each of our members shared what they value about their Medicare Advantage coverage, from gym memberships to preventive care screenings. Medicare Advantage plans help them stay happy and healthy.

Our Coalition member, Joe, discussed how valuable Medicare Advantage has been to his partner Eric. Joe said that Medicare Advantage has been a huge help in managing Eric’s Type 1 Diabetes over the years. The program helps them cover the cost of medical treatment and providing care coordination services.

Rep. Bera was happy to hear that the program delivers stable and affordable health care to Americans living in his district. He reaffirmed his support for Medicare Advantage and noted that he was glad to recently sign a 2020 letter from Congress to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The 2020 letter is meant to protect Medicare Advantage for millions.
