Coalition Members Virtually Meet with Senator Ben Ray Luján’s Office

5 members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) recently met with staff from Senator Ben Ray Luján’s office to share with the office how their Medicare Advantage plans have brought them peace of mind by offering high-quality, affordable health care coverage.

Coalition member Cy told the group how his Medicare Advantage plan takes a longer view of health care, by not only focusing on immediate health needs, but longer-term wellness as well. He shared how after he had surgery, his out-of-pocket costs very affordable and his Medicare Advantage plan sent him meals to help him recover.

Coalition member Mary echoed how Medicare Advantage has helped her and her husband save money, which is important because they live on fixed incomes. Their Medicare Advantage plan helps them budget and she appreciates that Medicare Advantage puts members first.

Coalition member Marilyn echoed Mary by saying that she is a retired public-school teacher, so having a health plan that she knows will be there for her gives her a lot of comfort.

Coalition members Sheila and George told the group that knowing that their Medicare Advantage plan is paying attention has kept them from losing sleep. They both have had serious health issues, but their health care costs have been minimal.

The CMC is grateful to Senator Luján’s office for meeting with our Coalition members and hearing about their experiences with Medicare Advantage.
