We are united in supporting the better services, better access to care, and better value that Medicare Advantage delivers to millions every day.
How do we protect and strengthen Medicare Advantage…
Connecting Americans with members of Congress: We connect real Americans with members of Congress across the country through in-person events and digital platforms. These are positive forums for Americans to relay their personal experience with Medicare Advantage to their elected officials.
Year-round, Coalition members actively communicate with members of Congress about issues that affect their Medicare Advantage coverage. Since 1999, Coalition members have made more than a million contacts with their members of Congress. Coalition members have:
- Participated in dozens of town hall meetings and rallies
- Published hundreds of letters to the editors of their local newspapers
- Made tens of thousands of phone calls to congressional offices
- Written more than 375,000 letters and emails to their members of Congress
Sharing stories: We share testimonials from Coalition members with their members of Congress. This allows Americans on Medicare Advantage to make their voices heard and take action to protect and strengthen the health care benefits that keep them healthy.
The Coalition is also very active in engaging in discussions about Medicare Advantage on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. We often share infographics, videos, and other educational materials to help illustrate Medicare Advantage and the Americans it covers.
Building Partnerships: The Coalition maintains strategic partnerships with stakeholders, physicians, and experts to make sure policymakers are getting a variety of perspectives on the value of Medicare Advantage. Co-hosted events and social media engagement are some of the ways we are working with allies to create an echo-chamber of voices dedicated to protecting and strengthening Medicare Advantage for millions of Americans.
