Coalition members meet Representative Bryan Steil

Wisconsin Coalition members met this week with Rep. Bryan Steil at his district office in Racine to share personal anecdotes about their positive experiences with the Medicare Advantage program. The attending Coalition members discussed how user-friendly the program is, how it keeps their out-of-pocket costs low, and the program’s focus on preventive care.

Our Coalition member, Jean shared how the plan gives her peace of mind. Jean said she “barely knows her plan is there” because they coordinate all the benefits and take away the headaches associated with her medical bills. Jean appreciates the extensive preventive care options available to her and other Wisconsinites.

Rep. Steil was genuinely appreciative to learn more about Medicare Advantage, a program he was once mostly unfamiliar with. He told the group that it was “easy” to sign on to a House Medicare Advantage support letter because it’s clear so many Americans love the better services, better access to care, and better value Medicare Advantage delivers.

As the future of the Medicare Advantage program unfolds in Washington, D.C., the Coalition for Medicare Choices thanks Rep. Steil and all of his colleagues who support the program.
