Coalition members & Representative Annie Kuster Discuss the Advantage of Medicare Advantage

New Hampshire Coalition members hosted a roundtable this week with Rep. Annie Kuster in Concord at her district office. Our Coalition members were overjoyed to have a chance to share their stories about how the Medicare Advantage program has made health care easier and more affordable for them. Everything is covered under one plan – including dental and vision coverage.

Our Coalition member, Bob, told Rep. Kuster that Medicare Advantage is a wonderful program. He thanked Rep. Kuster for her continued support for the program. When asked what he liked most about the stable coverage he received, Bob said, “peace of mind.” Unlike other insurance plans, Bob knows his out of pocket expenses are capped each year and this allows him to worry a lot less about his costs and focus more on staying healthy. He joked that at his age anything could go wrong and those bills can add up quickly.

Rep. Kuster told our Coalition members that she is glad the program is straying strong and working well. She pledged to continue supporting Medicare Advantage and said it’s important to make sure people have access to coverage – and even more important that they like the coverage they receive. She was glad to hear that that was the case with our Coalition members and their Medicare Advantage plans.

The Coalition for Medicare Choices is grateful for Members of Congress like Rep. Kuster, both for meeting with our seniors and continuing to fight for the program here in Washington, D.C.
