Letter: Medicare Advantage important to area seniors

As I get older, there are a variety of additional health concerns I need to be mindful of. It can be daunting — there is so much more to worry about now than when I was younger. I want to feel like my health is taken care of without worrying about the financial hardships it will bring.
The stress of being in control of your health and finances after retirement can be scary. Like most seniors here in Michigan, I want every assurance I can get to make sure I can live an independent, happy and healthy life at my age.
Fortunately, as I turn 65, I have the option of enrolling in Medicare Advantage, which gives me that peace of mind.
Medicare Advantage has a 93% satisfaction rating from seniors enrolled in the program and will allow me to have high quality affordable coverage in my retirement. This program enjoys broad bi-partisan and I am hopeful that our new Congressman John James will continue to support quality health care for seniors in Michigan.
