Coalition Members Meet with Representative-elect Landsman

Three members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) met with Representative-elect Greg Landsman (D-OH-1) to share their stories about the high-quality, affordable coverage and benefits Medicare Advantage provides to Ohio’s seniors.

Coalition member Carren started the meeting by noting that Americans, from all walks of life, need proper health care coverage, and Medicare Advantage coverage offers just that. She spoke about how Medicare Advantage benefits help vulnerable people receive the care they need.

Yvonne, a CMC advocate, said she works at an organization that supports seniors aging in their communities. She noted that many of the seniors in her organization utilize the Medicare Advantage program. For her senior clients with Medicare Advantage, Yvonne said that the added transportation and prescription drug benefits make a world of difference in keeping them healthy.

CMC advocate Sandra talked about how Medicare Advantage helps keep seniors healthy at home. She said that Medicare Advantage is unmatched in providing seniors with the assistance and services they need to live independently at home.

Representative-elect Landsman thanked the group for meeting, telling them he wants to learn more about Medicare Advantage and is an advocate for expanding the program.
