Letter: Keep Medicare Advantage

Although my husband and I are financially stable, we still live on a fixed income, which means we need to be careful with our spending. So, when we needed to switch our health care plan after we retired, cost was one thing I paid close attention to.

Medicare Advantage was the only program that gave us access to extensive benefits without compromising our finances. One of our favorite parts of the program is Silver Sneakers, which allows us to participate in a variety of programs at Vine Faith in Action in Mankato.

It’s hard for seniors to sift through the complicated web of health insurance plans, but Medicare Advantage makes things simple. That’s why I hope that Senator Klobuchar and Senator Smith will continue to advocate for Medicare Advantage in Congress and keep this affordable care option accessible to seniors in Minnesota and beyond.
