Maine Coalition Members Thank Representative Jared Golden for Protecting Medicare Advantage

John and Sandy Nutting are both enrolled in Medicare Advantage. Both depend on the better services, better access to care, and better value Medicare Advantage offers and wanted to share their gratitude to Rep. Jared Golden for his support of the program.

Earlier this year, Rep. Golden signed a bipartisan letter in support of  Medicare Advantage, which helps many local Mainers like John and Sandy receive stable and affordable health care.

John was a dairy farmer and small business owner who also served as a member of Maine’s State Legislature for over 18 years. During his time with the State Legislature, he gained firsthand knowledge of the issues facing his community, including access to stable health care. This experience made John and his wife even more appreciative of Medicare Advantage.

John’s wife, Sandy, says that she appreciates Medicare Advantage’s affordability and flexibility when they need it most. This gives Sandy peace of mind, even in times of crisis like COVID-19. She is grateful that their Medicare Advantage plans are taking decisive action to cover the cost of testing for COVID-19.

Today, the Medicare Advantage program delivers stable health care to more than 23 million Americans 65+ and people with disabilities. For the Nuttings, this means better services, better access to care, and better value, which makes them extremely grateful to have a Representative like Jared Golden who is a strong supporter of the program.
