Wisconsin Coalition Member Shares Gratitude for Medicare Advantage

Access to stable health care is more critical now than ever before, especially for Americans 65+ in Wisconsin, where there have been over 21,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Coalition member Pat Heim from La Crosse, WI is grateful for the better access to care that Medicare Advantage delivers.

During the COVID-19 crisis Pat is grateful that there are Medicare Advantage plans that:

• Proactively eliminate patient cost-sharing for COVID-19 diagnostic testing when ordered by a doctor
• Expands access to telehealth for health appointments online and over the phone
• Ensures access to prescription medication through home delivery

It’s important for seniors to find a plan that helps them stay medically and financially sound, and Medicare Advantage has done just that.

The precautionary steps Medicare Advantage has taken over the last few months to ensure that members have stable health care during this critical time gives seniors peace of mind. Pat is thankful that Rep. Ron Kind supports the Medicare Advantage program, helping to strengthen and protect the program so it can continue to keep Americans happy and healthy. Pat hopes that Rep. Kind will continue to support Medicare Advantage and urges others in Congress to do the same.
