Coalition Member Betty Streckfuss Thanks Representative Lizzie Fletcher for Supporting Medicare Advantage

Back in February, several Texans in support of Medicare Advantage, including our very own Betty Streckfuss, visited Rep. Lizzie Fletcher to talk about Medicare Advantage. During the visit, the group was assured that Rep. Fletcher was indeed committed to protecting and strengthening Medicare Advantage, and Betty is pleased to report that the Congresswoman has been true to her word.

Earlier this year, Rep. Fletcher joined over 400 of her Congressional colleagues who signed a bipartisan letter in support of Medicare Advantage, which helps over 1.7 million Texas residents like Betty receive stable, affordable health care coverage.

Betty joined the Medicare Advantage community after her husband passed away and she was without health care. Her family and friends encouraged her to look into Medicare Advantage, and she is glad she did! She has had a few health issues, but her Medicare Advantage plan helped her navigate the health care system to get the care she needed.

Additionally, she loves that her Medicare Advantage plan services are affordable, including her vision and dental care. She is also grateful that during the COVID-19 crisis, Medicare Advantage plans are watching out for Americans 65+ who can’t leave their homes, by offering telehealth visits and prescription delivery.

For these reasons and more, Betty appreciates Medicare Advantage. She is even more appreciative that she can count on Rep. Fletcher to protect the better services, better access to care, and better value that the program delivers to Texans. Americans like Betty depend on Medicare Advantage because the program gives them peace of mind through stable health care services, even amid  the COVID-19 crisis.
