Coalition Members Meet Virtually with the Office of Representative Clark

October 26, 2021

Massachusetts members of the Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) recently had the chance to meet virtually with the office of Representative Katherine Clark (D-MA-05) to discuss the extensive benefits they can access through their Medicare Advantage plans.

Coalition member Marcia spoke about how she appreciates that Medicare Advantage covers a range of services. She shared that “with Medicare Advantage, there is more interaction between the plan and the senior and that is a very good thing.” She expressed that she hopes there are no changes to the program and that it is important for seniors and people with disabilities to be able to connect with their member of Congress.

Karen, another Coalition member, then explained that she works closely with seniors and has heard many stories about how Medicare Advantage covers services like telehealth, wellness programs, and transportation. She went on to say that she “has learned so much about how people really rely on these services and what a difference they [make] for seniors in our community.”

Representative Clark’s staff thanked the Coalition members for sharing their personal stories and insights. The staffer also reiterated that Representative Clark is committed to the health and wellbeing of seniors and people with disabilities in her district and that these stories help put a face to the policy.

The CMC is grateful to the office of Representative Clark for meeting with our Coalition members.
