Dear Editor,

At 80 years old, I’ve learned what’s important in life and what to prioritize. At the top of my list is my good health. I’m lucky to have lived a long and happy life, and I look forward to many more years ahead enjoying time with my loved ones.

I know as an older woman I have to take care of myself, and that’s why I’m so grateful my health care coverage plan through Medicare Advantage offers a wide range of benefits to help me stay healthy. I especially appreciate that every doctor is covered, and I don’t have to go searching for one that will take my insurance.

While appreciative of my care, I am concerned to hear there are potential cuts to Medicare Advantage that would affect enrollees such as myself. I hope our elected officials, including Representative Pallone, protect this program which aids so many older New Jerseyans and people with disabilities.

I look forward to many more years thanks to the high-quality, affordable coverage Medicare Advantage provides.

Sincerely,

Beverly Scarano
